Assembly Instructions

1.   First follow the "Instruction for assembling the hand pump set" (points 1-7/9) and Tips about pumping.

2.   Place the double-connector in the cylinder opening.

3.   The pump is switched on using the "Vacuum" adusting knob.  Begin with a lower vacuum and increase it as required after the milk flows.  Adust to the level which is comfortable to you.

4.   The suction rhythm is varied with the "Cycle" adjusting knob.  Begin with a high rhythm and reduce it after the milk flows.  This corresponds to the natural sucking rhythm of you baby.

5.   After switching off, leave the mains cable in the socket for recharging.  After charging for 12 hours, (e.g. overnight) pumping is possible throughout the day up to a max. of 3x20 mins.  If the "yellow" indicator lights up, recharge for at least 8 hours.  In the car the pump can be operated directly from the cigarette lighter using the special plug.

Cleaning of Egnell Elite

6.   Remove the pump set.  Remove the cylinder by placing the index finger into the tube and by turning clockwise releasing it from the attachment.

7.   Wipe the case and the cylinder only with a damp cloth, using normal household detergents.  Disinfect only with disinfectant free of phenol, e.g. Kohrsolin 3%.  To clean and sterilize pump set components, please see cleaning instructions.

8.   Reinstall the cylinder as shown in the picture, in attachment points 1 and 2.  Press in place and ensure it is engaged.
